FAQFAQ

  1. How long should my hair be if it is my first time waxing?
Hair should generally be 1/4" to 1/2", especially for the first treatment. There needs to be enough hair for the wax to grab onto.
  2. Is there anything that can make my wax experience more relaxing?
Yes! Exfoliate!! Use a rough loofah or body scrub to rid your skin of any dead skin cells, this will bring the hairs under the skin to the surface making it easier to be fully removed, bulb & all. Also taking Advil a 1/2 hour before your scheduled wax will make it less painful as well as calm any swelling.

Tendskin also helps to make your visit more comfortable. Using it before treatments will ease the wax "pull". Using it afterward and in between treatments will get rid of and prevent ingrown hairs.
  3. What kind of wax does S!LK use?
Nufree Nudesse. Only the best! Antibacterial and antimicrobial, Nufree is a soy based product that is very gentle on even the most sensitive of skins.
  4. How long will my body wax last?
Generally, after the first treatment we have our clients re-book for 4 weeks. When you return in 4 weeks we can determine how fast or slow your hair personally grows. The more and more you wax regularly the softer and more fine your hair will be. On average, clients come every 4-6 weeks.
  5. What can I use at home to dull any irritation?
Usually with Nufree Nudesse there is no after wax irritation. However, aloe is a good at home coolant. By the next day your skin should be feeling S!LKY smooth.

Also- Tendskin! Yes, we have it. & we swear by it.
  6. How long does a Brazilian wax take?
It varies. For women it can be anywhere from 15 minutes to a little bit over a half hour. We do NOT do male bikini or Brazilian waxes.
  7. What if I start seeing re-growth soon after my first wax?
It is pretty normal to begin to see a bit of re-growth with in the first 2 weeks after your first or second wax. Your hair follicles are not used to being pulled from under the skin's surface. So naturally, they can break during the first few treatments. Which is why we recommend making regular appointments every 4-6 weeks.
  8. What is the TIGI Body Revive Treatment?
It is not a massage. It is a relaxing deep exfoliation of the body as well as a deep moisture treatment, with your choice of scent. We recommend having it done after any body wax. It is the perfect ending to any S!LKY wax procedure!
  9. What is the HEMPZ body rub?
It is also a deep moisture treatment with a hint of self tanner. It blends evenly and gives your skin an immediate glow.
  10. What is your cancellation policy?
